On May 2, 2026, Ankora co-founder Karissa Regaliza was crowned Aqua Queen of the Universe, representing San Juan, Siquijor on the national stage — and bringing the island's ocean stewardship story with her. Candidates are judged not on conventional beauty, but on grace beneath the surface and dedication to marine conservation. Her win was formally honored by the Local Government of San Juan, Siquijor.
